Oh, how our hearts melted
When you
were born
A gift to
us from God
Given on
Christmas morn
Oh, how our hearts melted
When you
were born
A gift to
us from God
Given on
Christmas morn
It’s time to celebrate
Our
saviour’s birth
It’s time
to mark
The day he
came to earth
It’s
Christmas again
It’s time
to rejoice
It’s time
to sing
And to our
praise give voice
So, praise
the Prince of peace
Our majesty
of mercy
Hallelujah
Son of God
Oh, Jesus
Son of Mary
When the gifts have all been opened
And the
season starts to wane
When December
days have passed by
And a New
Year starts again
Let’s pack
away the decorations
But let the
love and peace remain
Angels from on high
Behold we bring news
Christ is coming
Do not be afraid
Emmanuel is coming
Follow yonder star
Go to
Hosanna God be praised
In the town of
Jesus
Kneeling shepherds before him
Lowing beasts in
attendance
Magi from the east
Noel, noel, noel
On the first morning
Peace came to the world
Quelling fear and pain
Rekindling the light
Saviour son of God
The prince of peace was born
Uniting the world
Verily the most
Wondrous of times
Xmas festival of love
Yule tide of good will
The great star of light
Graced the
nativity
Where the
holy family,
Mary and
her child
And the
Noble Joseph
Dwelt in
the humble stall
The beasts
in the stable
The Kings
of the east
And shepherds
from the hill
Witnessed
the gift of love
Given by a
gracious God
To the
sinful world
It was a bitterly cold and bleak Christmas morn
And had
been snowing heavily since before the dawn
And for the
morning service the waiting minister
Was
eventually joined by just one solitary farmer
The
clergyman said “Well even though it’s Christmas day
I don’t
suppose there's no point in having a service today.”
The farmer
replied “Well that's not quite how I see it.
If only one
cow turns up at feeding time, I still feed it.”
It is the season that makes my senses tingle
The time of
year when the sleigh bells jingle
And we come
together for the Christingle mingle
When the
Clauses and the Grinches intermingle
And happy
clappy’s and traditionalists comingle
As we
celebrate the service of Christingle
