SIMPLE FAITH

 

Faith is a very simple thing

Between you and your God King

Don’t let the legion of Clergy

Over complicate by liturgy

The church do not own our Deity

God is inherent in the laity

GOD’S ETERNAL LIGHT

God’s eternal light

Illuminates the starkness

Dispelling evil

In the invading darkness

THE LORD SAID UNTO JOHN

 

"Come forth and you will receive

Eternal life" The Lord said

But unfortunately, John came fifth

As a result, he won a TV instead

THE BORN AGAIN GOD

 

Kneeling before the cross,

A simple sign of faith

A potent symbol of his love

A symbol whose holy shadow

Casts the light of love across the world

I am in the presence of the Lord

I feel His hand on my shoulder

His love in my heart

I find I am at peace

In the presence of the lord

I feel His reassuring presence

The Son of God

The Prince of Peace

Who died upon the cross

Who died on a hill in Calvary

And was born again

I feel the power of His glory

I feel at peace

I feel his Godliness

His Goodliness

He surrounds me with his love

And he comforts me

Making the world a less savage place

THE LORD IS SHEPHERD OF HIS FLOCK

 

The Lord is Shepherd of his flock

As well as being a fisher of men

And he does his Fathers bidding

On the fields and copse and fen

Lucifer’s nemesis

Angelic warrior

In the war in heaven

Protector against

The dark of night

MICHAELMAS DAY

 

Feast of the Archangels

As the autumn equinox nears

Michaelmas marks the turning

Of the husbandman's year
