They are seen together
On every continent
And in every weather
The Christian cross
And the pagan tree
To celebrate the birth
Of Christianity
Everyone attended
No one was excused
Christmas morning mass
Was one of those

And even the church

Sat smartly in their
pews
The church is full
On Christmas day
From miles around
They came to praise
And share in the joy
Of the blessed gift
Given to the world
