I AM SO BLESSED

To have a family

A caring network

Who look after me

A circle of friends,

God in my life

Each and every day

A SONG TO SING IN HEAVEN

 

A song to sing in heaven

Where the holy angel’s tread

So sang my heart in joy

The word of God was spread

OUT OF THE MOUTH’S OF BABES – THOU SHALT NOT

                                                                                                                         

In our church’s Sunday school class our children

Have been learning about the Ten Commandments

After the class had studied hard about the first nine

They approached the last one with some confidence

The teacher asked the class if anyone could tell her

“What was the tenth commandment for a moral life” 

Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and proudly quoted

“Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife” 

WITHIN THE SILENT ECHO

Within the silent echo

Of the last rites

As the last words of life

Reluctantly give way

To the first words of death

God reaches out his hand

And you alluringly ascend

On comforting wings 

GOD IS ON THE WEB

God is on the Web waiting for your prayer

You can easily find Him if you look around

There is no video link, Skype, or live chat

But if you have faith, it will be profound

Of course, if an atheist were to click the link

It would respond with “Page not found”

OUT OF THE MOUTH’S OF BABES – QUIET CLASS

 

A Sunday school teacher once asked her children

As they were on the way to their own church service

“Why is it necessary for us to be quiet in church?” 

One girl replied “Because people are sleeping miss”

SIMPLY PHILOSOPHICAL # 1

 

The lion and the calf

Shall lie down together

But the calf will not

Get much sleep however
